Not receiving notifications of calls and texts? Background Refresh | How do I allow the app to run in the background? Follow
Table of Contents
In order to not miss any calls, the Hushed app needs to be running in the background at all times. If the app is shut down, you may not be able to receive notifications for calls or texts until you open the app up again, where you will then see the missed call and SMS logs.
If "Background Refresh" is off, then the app cannot receive messages while it is in the background and might not be able to perform calls. To resolve this, please follow these steps:
For iOS Devices
If your Hushed app is not receiving calls or notifications, your iPhone may be putting it to sleep. To prevent this, check the following settings:
Turn Off Low Power Mode
Low Power Mode restricts background activity, which can affect Hushed. To turn it off:
- Open the Settings app
- Go to Battery
- Make sure Low Power Mode is OFF
Enable Background App Refresh
This setting allows Hushed to run in the background and stay active:
- Open the Settings app
- Scroll down and select Hushed
- Tap Background App Refresh and ensure it is ON
If Background App Refresh is greyed out:
- Open the Settings app
- Go to General → Background App Refresh
- Make sure the system-wide Background App Refresh is turned ON
Once enabled, you can turn it on or off for individual apps, including Hushed
For Android Devices
