Hushed is completely data-driven, so it does not use traditional carrier networks; with this, all you would need is a strong data connection (mobile data or Wifi) for the app to function. Similarly, Hushed is in no way connected to your cellular account, so it does not draw on your minutes from your cellular carrier. 

Your mobile device does not need to have a SIM card to use Hushed.
