If you are receiving an error code when sending a text, here are some things to check:
Is your Hushed number on the correct plan for texting? This is usually the cause of the issue. For example, if you have a U.S. "7 Day Plan" number, you can use it to call and text in the U.S. and Canada only, but not outside of those countries. If you try to text a number outside your domestic area on the wrong plan, you will receive an error.
Are you connected to the internet, either through WiFi or mobile data? Ensure you are so that you can use the app!
Is your address correct? If you have a number that requires address information you will not be able to call or text until it has been uploaded and approved.

- What is your Hushed number?
- What is the country code of the outside number you are not able to send a text to? (For instance, a U.S. number has a country code of +1, a UK number has a country code of +44, etc.)
