What is invasion of privacy? Follow
An invasion of privacy is an intrusion into your personal life or private data without your permission.
Invasion of privacy might look like an individual or company surveilling you or your online activity (Think: reading your emails), anyone tracking your location, or releasing your personal information without your consent.
Legally, invasions of privacy are serious offenses. In fact, depending on the factors, it could even be illegal, violating civil and criminal laws.
Be mindful that digital invasions of privacy can happen often and happen quietly. Note when software or apps access your data unnecessarily. (Ask yourself why a photo app might request access to your banking information.) It can also be seemingly innocuous like if a colleague requests access to your email or work calendar. Be aware and stay safe.
