What Is WiFi calling? Follow
WiFi calling is the feature that allows you to make and receive calls and messages over a WiFI network instead of your regular cellular network.
Helpful in places with a weak cell signal, but still with WiFi (think: basements, large buildings, etc.), WiFi calling enables your phone to route calls through the internet, meaning you don’t need mobile reception at all to stay connected.
With most modern smartphones supporting WiFi calling, and many carriers including it for no additional fees in a standard plan, all you have to do is make sure your phone is set to enable it. Once it’s on, you can make calls without using any limited calling minutes, and even including international calls in some cases.
Just be mindful to check your current mobile plan to see if WiFi calling counts against data use if you’re on a limited internet plan.
